The symptoms of mold allergies are very much like other allergies from pollen. - Prevent mold and mildew from building up in your home. Pay attention to any mold growth and be aggressive about preventing dampness.
- Use exhaust fans in the bathrooms and kitchen, or open windows
- Remove carpeting where it can get wet
- Repair any plumbing leaks
- Do not keep old books,newspapers or magazine around in the bedroom
- Check your windows for condensation
- Promote the drainage of any ground water away from your home, and remove any dead leaves or vegitation that is near your foundation or rain gutters
- Use an electric dehumidifier to remove moisture in your home
- Increase the air flow and open doors between rooms
- Repair any roof leaks
