Taking quick and careful steps with water damage can minimize the damage to your property. Follow these Do’s and Don’ts to minimize the damage:
- Do remove as much water as possible by mopping or blotting up the water
- Do wipe water from wood furniture after removing lamps and table-top items.
- Do remove and prop up wet upholstery cushions for even drying (check for possible bleeding of the fabric)
- Do place aluminum foil, china saucers or wooden blocks between furniture legs and wet carpeting
- Do open drawers and cabinet doors for complete drying (do not force)
- Do remove valuable paintings and art objects to a safe place
- Do open suitcases and luggage to dry
- Do punch small holes in sagging ceilings to relieve trapped water (don’t forget to place a collection pan beneath)
- Do not leave wet fabrics in place. Dry as soon as possible. Hang furs and leather goods to dry separately at room temperature
- Do not leave books, magazines or other colored printed items on wet carpets or floors
- Do not use your household vacuum to remove water.
- Do not use TV’s or other appliances while standing on wet carpets or floors, especially on wet concrete floors.
- Do not turn on ceiling fixtures if the ceiling is wet, and keep out of rooms where ceilings are sagging from retained water
- Do not put wet contents on top of dry contents

Vortex Drying System
What sets Clean Earth Restorations above the rest? Our Vortex Drying System is far superior from other industry standards for drying structures and materials. The Vortex Drying System (VDS) is a unique method for drying structures. We follow a specific protocol that considers the extent of the damage, the type of water damage (Catagory 1, 11 or 111 water) and follows a plan to dry the structure as rapidly as possible with the objective of minimizing replacement costs to the structure and contents. Category 1 can dry the structure IN PLACE with no demolition or rebuild necessary.

“Dear Clean Earth Restorations – My parents specifically requested that I write to you and “rave” about your personnel and the work that they did.
My parents had a long-standing (unknown) leak that saturated almost the entire first floor of the house. It ended up requiring the removal of the carpet, padding, portions of walls, and the kitchen cabinets. Clean Earth came in and handled everything in a professional and efficient manner, while still being very kind and accommodating to my parents. We couldn’t have asked for better. In particular, Shawn Diebel and Rhett Edwards handled the situation and the logistics in a top-notch fashion – they made sure the job was done correctly and they were very responsive to my parents, quickly responding to any questions, concerns, or scheduling matters.
It was comforting to know that your employees were taking care of my parents. And we are extremely happy with the end result. Walls and flooring look better than new, and all of the furniture and other items that make the house a home were carefully removed and then returned.

“Clean Earth Restorations made the reconstruction process of our home a breeze. When we had a main pipe water break and flooded our home we contacted our home insurance and had another company come out (not worth mentioning) and did an okay job but their cost was up the roof! My insurance was not willing to work with them anymore. I had to go out of my way and find a new restoration company that was willing to stay within a budget and have an experienced team to take on this job. I called Clean Earth Restoration team to come to my home for an estimate. Not only was Shawn very professional but also demonstrated attention to detail and really pointed out what was important. He wowed us with his experience and answered all the questions we had. He is highly knowledgeable and he gave us an estimate on when the project will be done. The reconstruction of my home was finished ahead of schedule and we were in our home sooner! Hire this company! They will answer their phones and will attend to every detail of your home. Communication is key and they will give you details of progress if you need them. Our home turned out beautiful. Their contractor is also extremely knowledgeable and will make things right. Overall they exceeded our expectations. Definitely, a 5 Star company!!!”
“If I could give 1000 stars I would. Every single person I had dealings with from Clean Earth Restorations was professional, courteous, personable, and knowledgeable of the task at hand. They were always on time and always in communication with me on what the plan was and what was going to happen next.
Background: the unit above me had a water leak. My water heater closet and outside dining room wall that connected to the water heater closet was riddled with blue/black mold, smelt like chemicals, and was damp down to the 2x4s.
initially, John came to take a look and write an estimate of repairs and explain the basic process to me. He was professional and quick. In and out.
After the estimate was approved, Logan came in on a Saturday to set up the demo area. He was outgoing and personable. He helped me move my furniture out the way and set up a thick plastic airtight ceiling to floor quarantined area to protect the rest of my house/my family from what was to come. His work was like a masterpiece. It was so neat. He also placed some machines to start drying out the walls to get the ball rolling on repairs.
During the drying time, Clean Earth sent out a few testers to test the mold, dampness, air quality, and to check for lead, asbestos, all that. Even the testers were pleasant.
After all the tests, Cameron and Vince came back to move forward with demo work. Cam and Vince were knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I actually enjoyed their company during the time they were here to work. They kept me informed when they were here, always communicated when they would need to come and go and chit-chatted small talk here and there. They both had great attitudes and personalities. The types of workers you want around you in a bad situation to tell a funny joke or 2. They had positive outlooks and didn’t hold back or sugarcoat the job, they told the truth every step of the way. Cam and Vince were here to do the hard dirty work. The demolition crew. Breaking down the walls, sanding, hammering, drilling, all of the above. But with such a dirty task they were so clean and neat!!!!
They never left a mess during the time they worked and they cleaned up after themselves every day!!!
They never left anything laying out or around or trash left behind. I was so impressed with the standards Clean Earth Restorations held themselves to. Making a horrible situation into a pleasant experience. I thought this would be a long drawn out process but Cam and Vince got busy! They worked hard, they worked together and they worked quickly, which I 100% appreciated. When they finished I was kind of sad to see them go, but happy they were done hahaha 🙂 such cool guys!!
Once Cam and Vince finished, Shawn came. Shawn is the structural estimator. He came in to see what it would take to get my condo back to normal. He estimated cost for drywall, paint, carpet cleaning, all that good stuff. I probably sound like a broken record but even my dealings with Shawn were pleasant. He was very personable and polite. Once Shawn finished his estimates, he contacted me within a few days to let me know he had a crew ready to rock and come in to finish the job. His drywall crew had my house back to normal within 4 days. Walls, paint, baseboards….. it’s like nothing ever happened.
I 100% recommend Clean Earth Restorations for any need or situation you may have. I can not say enough and boast enough about the company, their values, their morals, and employees. It was a great experience and refreshing to know that there are companies still out there who take pride in customer relations and rapport, not just the job they are committed to doing.”

“We recently had a water leak in our attic. The water was dripping from the ceiling and coming out of the walls onto our garage floor. We called our insurance company and they hired clean earth to start the water clean up process. I was a little apprehensive at first not having picked them myself. But I have to say that I was quite impressed when Daniel and Darnell showed up and started working. They were professional, hardworking, and very detailed. Also quick and efficient. Very nice guys. I would definitely use them again. Thank you for a job well done!!!”

“My kitchen flooded while I went home for the holidays and I thought this was going to be a huge issue. But Clean Earth Restorations is amazing. Every single employee I have I have met or talked with has been extremely friendly and accommodating. A few names I’d like to point out are Jose, Cameron, Daniel, and Evan (pretty sure I got these right). All these guys helped to fix our water problems very fast. Definitely recommend them!!”

“We have had two major mold issues from running water in our walls from the condo above. Cameron and his team of Fred, Angel, and Darnell did an amazing job both times in remediating the situation. I highly recommend them!”

“Alex and her team did an amazing job. There were a few hiccups but the response time and the ownership from your team made up for it. Fred, Cameron, and Braden did a remarkable job. They were very professional and very flexible with my work schedule. Shawn even took the time to come to my work for a few signatures since I had such a tight schedule with my kids and husband being out of town. I am very very happy with the work they did and how your whole team went above and beyond to help me get my bathroom and garage better than good as new. I will be recommending your company for sure!”
“This company has been my “clean up crew” for more than the past decade, drying out two major catastrophic water floods and several small ones.
Their work has been professional, courteous, extremely fast – the same day that I called – and what more can I say, I highly recommend their services.
I might add that as well they have done the carpet cleaning service for me also and the price was very competitive and the job was great. In fact, I am going to call them now for another carpet cleaning service.”
“We had a flood in a rental condo. The tenant had to move out for about 6 weeks. Clean Earth worked with me, allowing me to upgrade some of the repairs/products. They were most helpful and considerate and, best of all, everything they did was fine workmanship. They are highly recommended by me!”
